Do not place glue collectors near open flames (such as water heaters), in dirty/dusty locations, or in extremely hot areas where glue may flow. If you don't get good results, you can place a little food in the center of the trap.
Do not place glue traps where children or pets may reach them. This may limit your placement choices. You can put glue traps into plastic or cardboard stations, or use other types of covers to keep people or pets from getting stuck on them. The bait station also protects the glue trap from moisture and dust and hides the trap and its struggling rats.
