Black Mosquito Coil Production Process Explained

Raw Material Preparation

Black mosquito coil is produced from selected raw material, such as charcoal powder, wood powder plant fibers and starch and natural bonding agent. These components are weighed accurately to assure reliable burning performance and uniform product quality.

Mixing and Coil Forming

The mixture is combined, with water added to create the proper paste prior to going into the automatic forming system. A high-precision molding process extrudes and presses this mixture into the recognizable double-spiral form, leading to a clean surface and uniform dimensions.

Drying and Curing

New mosquito coils contain dampness and need to fulfill a controlled drying out process. Industrial drying equipment removes excess water during this process and fortifies the structure of the coil to limit breakage that may occur later in storage, transport and usage.

Active Ingredient Application

The coils are then seasoned with mosquito-repellent active ingredients through an automated spraying or coating process once they have dried. Different compositions and fragrances (citronella, sandalwood, lavender or lemon) can be adapted to meet a host of market needs.

Inspection and Packaging

Each batch is subjected to rigorous quality checks, including tests for appearance, moisture content, burning time and structural strength. Finally, qualified products are packaged to customer specifications, with branding and custom retail packaging available for global wholesale and export markets.
