Laundry sheets are comprised of a water-soluble film, typically polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) which is designed to degrade rapidly upon exposure to water. This polymer dissolves in both hot and cold temperatures to release the densely packed cleaning agents emulsified within the substrate with substantially no clumping or residue.
